Over 2 Million Customers Given More Control Over Their Travel Plans with Emirates

Emirates lives up to its outstanding customer service reputation with unwavering support provided to customers via their diverse choices and flexibility plans when it comes to helping customers make the most of the changes that come their way.

Since the onset of the pandemic, the airline stepped up and rewrote their paybook on booking flexibility, introducing the industry’s most generous ticket validity, giving customers the option to hold or use their ticket anytime for more than 24 months. Now, the airline has extended its booking waiver for travel through 31 May 2022, ensuring customers can book with confidence knowing they are fully supported should their travel situation change.

Over 2 million customers have made multiple date or destination changes, or exchange their tickets for vouchers to be utilized for future travel with Emirates. More than 92,000 tickets have been exchanged for travel vouchers.

The Emirates promise of excellence continued its long-standing commitment, honoring over 3.3 million in refunds to its customers to date since March 2020. The airline has bolstered its capabilities to manage refunds for tickets, resulting in a speedy turnaround time for its travel agency partners and customers, raising the bar as the fastest in the industry, building more trust, goodwill and loyalty for the future.

In addition to customer care, Emirates also pioneered industry-grade comprehensive multi-risk travel cover which has proven to be an added assurance for travellers onboard the airline. Since introduction in December 2020, more than 7.2 million passengers have flows with peace of mind, protected through Emirates’ multi-risk insurance cover.

The extended Emirates Skywards tier status for over 630,000 loyal frequent flyer members in all tiers has allowed members to redeem benefit for their points through 2022. The validity extention covered over 51 billion Skywards miles, which can be utilized for future flights, upgrades and other partner rewards.
