A private sandbank was chosen for the ceremony with the bride and groom arriving by traditional sailing Dhoni to the sound of cultural music performed by children from the local island, then gentle bodu beru drum beats accompanied them down the aisle.

 

After the wedding ceremony was over, the couple made their first toast as a married couple and cut their cake with a fairytale sunset backdrop. As the drums beat louder the little island was filled with joy. As the special day came to an end, Olena and Ben slipped away for a private dinner on the beach.
