Rising Rap Music & Talent in Maldives

On National Poets’ Day yesterday, rap music was performed on stage along with famous poets.

Symbolic Records, the local music company tweeted: ‘we made history again! Rap has been seen in the country on an institutional level. Rap music has been performed on a stage with renowned poets. Congratulations to all the rappers.’

The company is the first Maldivian Hip-Hop label that brought a change to Maldivian music industry. After several successful releases by them, rap music is being accepted by the country and more talents are emerging in the field.
