Ritz Carlton Fari Islands Celebrates 12 Months In The Circle of Island Life!

As the resort celebrates its first anniversary in the paradise of Fari Islands, the Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands will host a blissful celebration of island life. The celebrations begin with Renato De Oliveira, the newly appointed General Manager, at the helm, and in the hands of the Ladies and Gentlemen of The Ritz-Carlton, Fari Islands, in a year that introduces the Indian Ocean to a unique resort destination.
To begin the celebratory events, 12 guests will experience an hour of energizing yoga to prepare their mind, body, and soul, one pose for each month in the circle of life of The Ritz Maldives. This deep practice will take place in the resort's Mystique Garden, at the foot of the resort's 98-foot-tall banyan tree, which was planted in memory of Kerry Hill, the resort's late great architect.
Later on, Marine biologists trained by world-renowned oceanographic explorer and environmentalist Jean-Michel Cousteau will take up to 30 guests on a journey through the resort's Ambassadors of the Environment Program, which is exclusive to The Ritz-Carlton and unique to the Indian Ocean, for both adults and children over the age of fourteen. Using a flying drone operated by the team, guests will observe marine life on the Atoll's outer reef as part of a unique research program to conserve the region's waters. The presentation will cover recent turtle rescue operations as well as the resort's new Coral Regeneration Experience, which invites guests to use organic clay to create frames for new coral reef nurseries.
Taking a minute for every month for the first year of the resort, each guest will be invited for a 12-minute Spa Experience, to the design masterpiece spa overlooking the sparkling ocean lagoon for a complimentary treatment to commemorate the occasion. With an express treatment incorporating the natural indulgence of organic Bamford products, expert therapists will guide guests into a state of bliss.
Furthermore, embrace on an island quest where guests will explore every inch of the resort's island paradise in a discovery tour that will test observational and problem-solving skills in a fun and engaging experience for all ages. This will keep the little grey cells sharp while exploring the Fari Islands' haven, which includes gardens, lagoons, and sandbanks.
Things take an even more fun turn when the resort's LA LOCANDA sets the stage for an unforgettable culinary journey through the senses for up to ten guests! Chefs de Cuisine from the resort will host an exclusive celebratory cooking class inspired by the resort's seven restaurants' global influences. Lebanese flavours by Chef Mohamed from Arabesque, Alaskan Crab Leg Tempura with Japanese Sweet and Sour by Chef Andrei from IWAU, Black Truffle Wagyu Beef with Asparagus and Cantonese flavours by Chef Franco from the Summer Pavilion, and a variety of desserts by local award-winning, Chef Aminath, including, Kiru Boakiba (Maldivian coconut pudding) and Dhonkeyo Kaju (Banana Fritters).
At the Ritz, connecting with nature is essential, and diving beneath the crystal waters is a good place to start the anniversary celebrations under the ocean. Guests will be taken on a special journey led by Dive Butler to explore the reefs and marine life surrounding the resort as part of the celebrations. This will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to celebrate and capture unforgettable #RCMemories, with options to snorkel or scuba dive.
Moreover, up to ten guests will be invited to participate in one of the Fari Islands' many environmental projects by the resort's marine biologists as part of Coral regeneration experience with Coral Ceramics Snorkel. Guests will be escorted by boat to new coral nurseries surrounding the islands, where they will see ceramic coral frames made by guests being planted, helping to preserve one of the world's most enchanting and diverse coral reef systems.
An informative Art Collection Tour, led by the resort's Ladies and Gentlemen, will take up to ten guests through the islands' curated art collection. From the pieces in each villa to the vibrant mural inside Ritz Kids, there's something for everyone.
Hold on there is more! The Ritz Kids Club, a futuristic indoor-outdoor space with playgrounds, napping pods, a video game and movie area, and a pool with slides and jets, will host a celebratory evening for junior guests aged four to twelve. The big Ritz Kids Night Out will include hours of games, activities, and a movie to keep little minds buzzing, with a daily program based on the four pillars of land, water, environmental responsibility, and culture, as well as a regular schedule of activities including sports, arts, crafts, and cooking classes.
And last but not the least, to end the eventful day with a bang, the pinnacle of the celebrations invites guests to gather for a toast at the elegant yet laid-back Beach Shack, with sand between their toes and relaxing vibes. The festivities begin with a complimentary cocktail, including a Sangu sundowner, before the skies open up to reveal a blanket of stars just in time for a lavish buffet featuring flavors from around the world!
