For young local tennis players, the Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands organized a tennis program hosted by Paula Badosa, a Spanish professional tennis player. On November 24th, 2021, 8 tennis players under the age of 14 from Malé were invited to play and learn with the world number 8th ranking holder, in partnership with the Tennis Association of Maldives.
Appreciating the initiative, Paula expressed her enthusiasm in getting to play with the young talents from Maldives. She strongly believes in inspiring and empowering the passionate players as they will be representing Maldives in the future as she, herself, grew passion for the sport at the young age of 7.
The President of Tennis Association of Maldives, Ahmed Hafeez, thanked the management of Ritz-Carlton for giving the opportunity for the ambitious young players that has left them truly inspired amid the experience with the professional tennis player.
As part of the Ritz-Carton Maldives’ commitment to local communities through the Community Footprints project, this community engagement program was fully intended to inspire the next generation of local tennis players.
During her stay, Paula also offered clinics and special sessions for guests as part of a series of continuous tennis clinics with world-class players that the resort has planned, with the goal of providing the guests with a memorable vacation experience.
