High, higher and highest! That is just the way how Seaside Finolhu takes its indulgence level. While the recent travel restrictions, resorts closing and such turmoil has rendered a level of exhaustion, never felt before, it also comes with a few things to be joyous about, one such being Seaside Finolhu’s extensive upgrade of its facilities.

When Seaside Finolhu opens up on November 1st, guests are up for a pleasant surprise as they will be treated to a whole new barefoot chic experience, with the self-styled adults and kids’ alike playground having transcended from being a luxury island resort to a proud member of the exclusive Design Hotels portfolio.

Overseen by the award-winning Muza Lab design studio, the transformation of Seaside Finolhu extends to its villas, restaurants, wellness facilities, public areas, and sport and fitness activities, including a state-of-the-art indoor golf studio.

A bold new design concept unleashes a kaleidoscope of colours is now painted throughout the resort, taking inspiration from the vibrant natural aspects of the island’s outstanding flora, fauna, sunsets and seascapes.

Marc Reader, the resort’s General Manager says that this whole new concept is where the since long existed Maldivian culture enters a merging point with the contemporary lifestyle experience. Muza lab’s co-founder, Nathan Hutchins describes that the the changing colours, patterns and textures represent moments of discovery, wonder and delight.

 He explained to what extent they went in order to bring the design concept to life. He said that artisans from all over the world have created special works for the resort.

Artistic tiles from Turkey, chandeliers and wickerwork from South Africa and wooden craftwork from Java transform the villas, bars and restaurants, the fitness room and, last but not least, the Oceaneers Kids Club into an exotic playground.
