Helen Malmgren, a seasoned marketing professional, has joined the acclaimed five-star resort of St.Regis Maldives Vommuli as the newest member to its executive team. Her role as the Director of Sales and Marketing, she will be contributing to making the world-class destination and its uniquely crafted experience a once-in-a-lifetime getaway for travel seekers.
Malmgren most recently served as Commercial Director at the Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi from 2018 to 2020. Prior to joining Hilton Hotels & Resorts, EMEA, she was Director of Luxury Sales for the worldwide portfolio of Waldorf Astoria and Conrad hotels and resorts in assigned regional regions.
In her role as the Director of Sales at Hilton Worldwide, SEA from 2013 to 2015, she oversaw the Southeast Asia regional sales team, generated revenue development for Hilton operated properties in Asia Pacific and for 14 hotel brands internationally, and worked proactively to create, shape, and close new and recurring business.
Malmgren’s participation with the commercial opening of the Waldorf Astoria Beijing, and in positions such as Director of Business Development for the Waldorf Astoria Shanghai on the Bund from 2011 to 2013, and Director of Sales & Marketing for Bristol Buenaventura in Panama, her knowledge and experience spans across the spectrum of generating sales and marketing the product to the right audiences with use of her intensive network.
