The loved water sport is a combination of wakeboarding, surfing, windsurfing, snowboarding, paragliding, and skateboarding. Harnessed to a large hand-controlled kite, and powered by the wind, the kite surfer uses a board (similar to a snowboard, wakeboard or skateboard) to ride and glide across the water.
Kitesurfing is a rising sports in the country, among both locals and tourists. The Maldives is perfect for kitesurfing because the water conditions are rarely troublesome, which makes for the perfect water sport.
