The Cocoon Collection is preparing to expand its presence in the Maldives by unveiling the next addition to its exclusive properties in the destination. The new property named Joy Island is set to welcome guests starting this September 1st, 2023 and can be reached via a 40 minutes speedboat ride from Velana International Airport. The five-star resort is reputed for its unique geographical shape, appearing as a butterfly when viewed aerially.
Joy Island will also bring guests the best of its natural assets ranging from white powdery beaches to turquoise lagoons and remarkable coral gardens resident to plenty of fauna. Dubbed the island of happiness, the name ‘Joy Island’ captures all the pleasures that can be enjoyed on the premises regardless of what type of vacation guests are leading. Whether it be a romantic rendezvous, a family getaway or a group diving experience, the resort is ready to elevate stays with its offerings.
The to-be-introduced resort will mark The Cocoon Collection’s third resort in the Maldives and the sixth under its portfolio.
