Vegetables always have some benefits. However, there are certain vegetables that aren’t as healthy as most people think of it to be. These are 3 of our favorites from the list.

1. Potatoes

Everyone loves potatoes. You fry these, bake these and mash these. According to Delish, even though potatoes do contain a lot of potassium and vitamin C, they are usually skinned (which removes fiber), fried, and covered in salt, virtually destroying any nutritional value.

2. Cucumbers

One of the vegetables people assume to be the healthiest in the world, cucumbers have 35 pesticide residues and similar to celery, most of them are hormone disruptive. Conventional cucumbers also contain a synthetic wax that is usually made up of chemical contaminants.

3. Bell Peppers

Nightshade vegetables, like peppers, potatoes, and eggplant, are controversial, because many claim they can cause inflammation, according to Cynthia Sass, a registered dietician. Inflammation is one of the biggest precursors to heart disease, cancer and diabetes. This vegetables is not recommended for anyone with joint issues.
