Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) won the award for ‘Best Stand Feature’ at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2023. The Maldives destination was able to acquire this win after competing with other major destinations. The selection was made by an anonymous judging panel which recognized the stand that featured the most unique features and engaging experiences for visitors to the fair. This is the first time the award was introduced at ATM 2023. The Maldives destination is very proud to have won the first-ever ‘Best Stand Feature’ which is a testimony to the countless hours of work invested into making the stand the most attractive, vibrant and energetic stand at the fair.
The Maldives was showcased in a 429 sqm double-decker stand that drew inspiration from the Maldivian islands and other unique aspects of the archipelago. The stand was conceptualized to seamlessly blend modern designs with the native flora and fauna of the Maldives and featured 90 co-exhibitor counters and 53 B2B meeting tables. Moreover, the stand benefitted from LED screens that displayed the celebrated beauty of the tropical nation. All in all, the stand captured the attention of many visitors by exhibiting the richness of Maldivian heritage, culture, and character.
In addition to its visually pleasing aesthetics, the Maldives stand also included high engagement with visitors at the fair. Co-exhibitors greeted and interacted with visitors while fun quizzes were conducted at the stand. A definite highlight was the 360-video booth, which was a tremendous hit among visitors. Gift bags and raffle draw free holiday giveaways were also given at the stand during the span of the ATM 2023.
