Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has showcased and promoted the flourishing local liveaboards and diving industry of the Maldives at Dive MENA Expo 2023. The participation aligned with MMPRC’s efforts to highlight these segments to travellers and sponsored participation of the National Boating Association of Maldives (NBAM) at the Expo. The event took place at Dubai Harbour from the 1st-5th of March 2023.
Since its inception in 2008, Dive MENA Expo has served as a prominent dive event in the region bringing together leading manufacturers, supplies, yachting elites, and visitors seeking dive and liveaboard experiences under one platform. MMPRC’s main aim behind participating in the Expo was to provide increased opportunities for service providers in the Maldivian diving and liveaboard scene to exhibit their products and cater to a global market.
Through this Expo, the corporation was able to advertise local liveaboards and highlight the world-class diving experiences that avid divers and travellers to the Maldives can enjoy during their holidays. Moreover, this event also assisted in augmenting brand awareness for the destination by further enhancing its reach into prominent markets and bringing forward various segments available in the Maldives.
By sponsoring NBAM, MMPRC upheld their strategy to support local stakeholders and joined efforts to spotlight the unique selling points of the Maldives to a global audience. The Middle East comprise key markets to the Maldives which accounted for a great proportion of total arrival numbers. As such, MMPRC has been driving marketing into the region with ongoing activities such as Cozmo Travel Campaign and Emirates Agents Incentive. Many events are in the pipeline for the year too including Media FAM trips, Print Advertisements, attending major fairs and joint campaigns with tour operators.
