The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands is collaborating with best-selling food writer and international TV presenter, Rachel Khoo to bring an immersive gastronomical experience to the property this October. From October 29th – 31st, she will be spearheading the resort’s iconic Master of Crafts and Craftmanship Calendar for this year, under which several bespoke guest experiences will be curated.
Aided by her highly attuned arsenal of creative culinary credentials, Rachel Khoo will host an exquisite choux pastry masterclass for adults and children, a delicious breakfast grazing table, and inaugurate a ‘Guest Judge’ bake-off among guests. Additionally, she will also visit a Maldivian farmer’s market and thereafter collaborate with the resort’s award-winning culinary team on a Maldivian Cooking Class.
Rachel Khoo is well renowned for her unique perspective and approach to food, which led to the development of innovative recipes, a highly developed palate and an original outlook on all her culinary creations. A true culinary bon vivant, Rachel Khoo has made appearances on both the world stage and in the kitchens and living rooms of home cooks via her 15 TV shows, making her an internationally adored food celebrity.

In addition to her limelight on TV shows, Rachel Khoo has also judged and co-judged on multiple cooking competition shows including Zumbo’s Just Desserts alongside acclaimed pastry chef Adriano Zumbo, Australia’s popular My Kitchen Rules and BBCs Great British Menu. This summer she will also be a judge on The Great Australian Bake-Off Season 6.
During Rachel Khoo’s residency at The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands, guests can participate in a choux pastry masterclass where Rachel Khoo will share the secrets of how to make the perfect choux pastry. Guided by the visiting guest, pastry enthusiasts can whip up delectable creams and decorate their choux to rival a Parisian pâtisserie. Likewise, guests can look forward to her breakfast grazing table comprising mini choux pastries with tantalizing fillings ranging from classic pastry cream to fine Greek yoghurt, fruit coulis, fresh berries, chocolate and more.
As part of her Maldivian discovery, Rachel Khoo will also travel to a Maldivian farmer’s market to learn about indigenous ingredients and observe how fishermen bring in their catch of the day. Following this, she will co-host a Maldivian cooking class with the culinary team as she experiments with age-old recipes passed down through generations. Before concluding her visit, Rachel Khoo will preside over a bake-off tagged ‘Guest Judge’ where avid bakers among guests can present dishes from one of her many best-selling cookbooks and be evaluated based on taste, presentation, efficiency and speed by the writer herself.
