Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) is gearing up to host the highly anticipated Visit Maldives Storytellers’ Conference. As such, the corporation has recently announced its lineup of international speakers and spotlighted the various sideline regions featured during the event.
With 70+ travel writers, journalists, bloggers, influencers and media experts from around the world set to arrive in the Maldives, the conference will provide a platform to showcase the breathtaking beauty and celebrated hospitality of the Maldives. On the sidelines of the conference, unique experiences are scheduled to be held in eight different regions of the country, each location renowned for its distinctive quality and characteristics.
Several influential speakers will partake in the conference to share their wealth of knowledge and experience and inspire and engage the audience with their thought-provoking ideas. These extraordinary speakers include reputed travel writer and tourism thought leader, Doug Lansky, who will deliver a speech and contribute to the Sustainability Talks and moderate the conference.
Joining him would be Jessica Nabongo – writer, photographer, travel expert, entrepreneur and public speaker, who will share her experiences and stories and appear on Sustainability Talks too; Vikas Swarup – distinguished novelist and former diplomat who will speak based on his novel ‘Q and A’, the basis for multiple Oscar-winning film ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ and Eleni Gioskos – a versatile CNN correspondent who will share her inspiring travel stories and moderate the Sustainability Talks panel.
The sideline regions forming part of the event will allow participants to explore spectacular destinations around the Maldives for three days and two nights. The delegation will pull stops at pristine atolls like Raa, Ari, Vaavu, Laamu and Kaafu as well as Haa Alifu, Haa Dhaalu in the North and Addu Atoll and Fuvahmulah in the South. As part of this exclusive conference, participants will have the opportunity to explore the natural wonders, engage in exciting activities and create unforgettable stories to share worldwide.
The Visit Maldives Storytellers’ Conference 2023 will shed light on the transformative power behind storytelling in the tourism industry while promoting responsible travel and sustainability.
