World Wellness Weekend, taking place on September in the Westin Maldives Miriandhoo Resort in Baa Atoll is celebrating with a colourful event of free and signature activities to help guests reconnect with nature and its essence in the Maldives. The programme, which is based on five pillars of well-being of Westin, i.e. Feel Well, Eat Well, Sleep Well, Move Well and Play Well, will take place between 1921 September 2025 to provide an island-wide event on how to remain healthy and enjoyable.
The weekends start on Friday 19 September with a water volleyball game, full of fun and competition coupled with the Maldivian sun. In the evening, the inward focus is changed with Yoga Nidra, the ancient art of the yogic sleep that leads the participants to the state of deep rest and conscious renewal.
On Saturday 20 September, the guests will have a chance to discover self-care in a practical fashion in Craft Your Glow, a sensorial workshop during which the guests will prepare personalised body scrubs with natural ingredients and tropical botanicals. RunWestin, an invigorating Sunset Beach run, later on, is about the simple happiness of movement.
The festival ends on Sunday 21 September with Sunrise Yoga in the Yoga Pavilion, a syncing of breath and body with opening the island. The last session, Massage Workshop, offers direct methods of relieving tension in the head and neck and shoulders - the best solution to learn wellness skills at home.
The Westin Maldives Miriandhoo Resort is a well-being-centric ethos woven into each and every guest experience and is found in the first UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in the Maldives. The World Wellness Weekend 2013 is not simply an agenda of events, it is a call to relax, rejuvenate and lead a life of moderation in the pristine beauty of the atoll.
