The Malaysian multinational Airline, AirAsia has recently announced their recommencement of direct flights between Maldives and Malaysia. The frequently visited country by Maldivians will now be available for travelers with a shorter direct route with no layovers.
The schedule released by AirAsia include scheduled flights twice a week from Kuala Lampur to Velana International Airport. Apart from resuming service to the Maldives, the airline announced the introduction of five new routes between India and Thailand, including Bengaluru to Bangkok on May 4th, Chennai to Bangkok on the same day, Kolkata to Bangkok on Monday, May 2nd, and Jaipur to Bangkok on Monday, May 1st.
With the ever-growing high demand, the Airline has expanded their foreign services to India, Singapore, Brunei, the Maldives, the Philippines, Bangladesh, Thailand, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Laos, Vietnam, and Cambodia. Despite the challenges the Airline has faced, with new and improved services including their new all-in-one AirAsia Super Application, AirAsia seems to be getting back.
