Tree Top to Be A COVID19 Critical Hospital

Dr Ali Latheef has announced that preparations are ongoing to make the Tree Top Hospital located in Hulhumale, a COVID19 critical hospital. The statement was made during the emergency press conference held on 30th April (at 1 30 am), which was attended by Health Minister Abdullah Ameen, Dr Moosa Hussain and Dr Ali Latheef.

During a news conference on 9th April, IGMH doctor and National Emergency Operations Center's medical officer Dr. Ali Latheef had warned about deaths relating to COVID19. “If the appropriate measures are not taken, and a local spread occurs, no matter how prepared we are, we will have some deaths.” He had also mentioned that works to establish hospitals are being conducted, since the current hospitals cannot manage if there are a large number of cases.
