Trouble free travel to the Maldives is back on the agenda for British tourists once again! As of today, it has been officially announced by the FCDO Travel Advice by the Government of UK that they are removing all advice against inessential travel to the Maldives. The decision was made based on close scrutiny of the ongoing Covid19 pandemic in the Maldives.

Stakeholders of the tourism and hospitality industry have been working closely with the health authorities to ensure that all staff are vaccinated with double doses under the nationwide ‘I’m Vaccinated’ campaign. As of September 2021, 99% of the industry staff have received the first dose, and 93% is fully vaccinated.
