Virgin Atlantic to Increase Maldives Flights for Winter 2024
Virgin Atlantic has unveiled plans to expand its flight offerings to Dubai, the Maldives, and Barbados for the winter 2024-2025 season. The airline, which initiated thrice-weekly flights from Heathrow to the Maldives in October, will ramp up this service to daily flights, providing increased accessibility to this tropical destination.
The expanded frequencies are currently available for booking, with the following schedule:
Daily flights between London and Dubai: Commencing from October 26, 2024.
Twice-daily flights between Heathrow and Barbados: Operating from October 27, 2024.
Daily flights between Heathrow and the Maldives: Also starting from October 27, 2024.
Virgin Atlantic aims to meet the growing demand for travel to these popular destinations and build on the success of its recent route launches. The decision to increase flights reflects the airline's commitment to offering more options for customers seeking sunny getaways, as noted by Juha Jarvinen, Chief Commercial Officer at Virgin Atlantic.
“We’re excited to be whisking our customers away on more sunny breaks than ever next year, thanks to our expanding leisure portfolio. Our recent route launches to Dubai and the Maldives have already proved exceptionally popular, and we’re pleased to offer more opportunities for our customers to reach these luxurious destinations in 2024 and 2025,” commented Juha Jarvinen.
