Visit Maldives has been actively promoting the Maldives as a safe haven in the Russian market via both online and offline events since the beginning of this year. As the second largest source market for the Maldives at the moment, these marketing efforts have proven to take effect over time, with more and more agents being educated on the thrilling holiday experiences offered in the Maldives.
Delving deeper into the Russian market, Visit Maldives partners with Association of Russian Tour Operators (ATOR), the only professional association for Tour Operators in Russia uniting the top 100 tour operators, to conduct a series of online training program sessions for over 3500 potential participants.
Held in three sessions, the event kicked off on March 4th with the second session concluded on March 30th, and the last session scheduled for April 8th. Nine industry partners along with Visit Maldives are emphasizing on providing various travel trade related information to the participants, ranging from accommodation options and transportation to Weddings and Celebrations, Family Vacations and Special Offers for Kids.
Visit Maldives has planned more marketing activities with ATOR, including a destination review and social media contest, and editorial features regarding Maldives will be published in ATOR news Bulletin in the next few days.
