As promising as the Russian market has proven to be post the pandemic, Visit Maldives continues to conduct captivating marketing campaigns targeting the market. This time, in collaboration with National Geographic Traveller Russia, Visit Maldives is hosting physical photo exhibitions in two major cities of Russia.
The first exhibition has been set up in Moscow yesterday and will be showcased until the end of this month. Located in one of the most hype streets in Moscow, the exhibition can be found at the Tverskoy Boulevard.
Subsequently, the next photo exhibition will kick off in St. Petersburg. Planned to be setup in Kirov Central Park, the exhibition will be open for a dynamically developing cultural and recreational audience of different age groups and interests.
Photographs taken by renowned photographer, Ivan Dementievsky from his visit to the Maldives in March and exquisite creations of Maldivian photographers will be displayed in the exhibit. Both exhibitions are estimated to attract a collective of 3-5 million summer visitors to these areas.
The pictures will virtually transform the audience to the serene beaches of the Maldives, giving them a glimpse of the magical islands that appear on the crystal-clear waters. From surfing to diving, seaplane rides to authentic island life, the pictures will entice the audience to visit the naturally socially distanced islands and experience the safe haven of Maldives.
The exhibition will also go virtual via the Russian National Geographic website, National Geographic social media handles and a virtual photo exhibition. Dedicated content will be written on the project too, for an online audience of estimated 5 million across the platforms.
As Visit Maldives aims to promote and highlight the culture, traditions, heritage and the local island experience of Maldives, d, high impact campaigns on both offline and online platforms are in the pipeline for the market with several more collaborations with media and key stakeholders in the market.
