Visit Maldives Promotes The Tropical Paradise, Maldives In Italy With Mediamond

The Maldives launched an outdoor advertising campaign with Mediamond in Italy to raise brand awareness. Visit Maldives and Mediamond will collaborate on a three-week campaign in December 2021 and a one-week campaign in January 2022.

Thanks to the combined strength of Mediaset, the first Italian media group, and Mondadori, the leading magazines publishing firm, Mediamond is Italy's top editorial content digital sales house.

Their portfolio includes over 70 media brands that are among the most important on the Italian scene, names that are well-known and well-liked by the general public, and that are able to seamlessly integrate products into the editorial fabric while emphasizing the affinities and values that the products represent.

They have significant market share across print, web, mobile, radio, and digital out-of-home to assure the visibility required for effective advertising.

The campaign, which is being run jointly by Visit Maldives and Mediamond, aims to promote the Maldives as a safe haven, increase brand awareness, and increase affinity with the Maldives among Italians, in order to re-establish the Maldives as a top of mind destination for those planning winter vacations.

To do this, Maldives digital advertising will be exhibited in six prominent locations across Milan. This will help to raise awareness about various aspects of Maldivian tourism, such as romance, wellness, luxury, diving, and watersports. It aspires to maintain a strong market presence at a time when other island resorts have opened their doors to Italian visitors.

Currently, Italy is the top 4th market for tourism industry to the Maldives. Along with these campaigns, the hope is for the industry to thrive in Italy.
