At Mövenpick Resort Kuredhivaru Maldives, the villas each distinguish itselves from the rest with features and touches that complement the soothing natural surroundings. Credit to lead architect, Pawel Podwojewski, the Poland based company MOTIV Studio is the master artist behind the aesthetically appealing and truly unique setups on the resort. The private, uninhabited tropical island is weaved seamlessly into a showpiece. blurring the boundaries between innovative design, Maldivian heritage and Mother Nature.

Natural materials, such as coconut wood used in the furnishings, are shaped in contrast with the organic shapes of the roofs. An ergonomic design runs through every villa, with handmade structural elements creating a warm ambiance for guest comfort. "We wanted to make sure we did not damage the island or the marine environment, so we followed nature.” says Pawel Podwojewski. He explained the design concept and said, “We did not want to build anything too contemporary; so you will find in the final design influences from the Maldives and Indonesia. Sustainability was always our priority and therefore I was looking for solutions that could enhance my design.”
