World Oceans Day : Holiday Inn Kandooma Takes Action

In a commendable celebration of World Oceans Day, Holiday Inn Resort Kandooma Maldives partnered with Parley for the Ocean (Maldives) to organize a special reef cleaning scuba dive. This event brought together certified scuba diving guests and Kandooma’s qualified scuba divers in a concerted effort to protect the marine environment.
The enthusiastic group spent the afternoon cleaning the reef at the back of Kandooma island, successfully removing 3 kg of rubbish including metals, plastic, and fishing lines. After returning to the Kandooma Dive Centre, participants enjoyed refreshing drinks while discussing their experiences and the significance of the activity. This collective effort not only contributed to the sustainability of the underwater ecosystem but also raised awareness about the importance of protecting our oceans and reefs.
