The heads of two key environmental bodies warn that the upcoming year is the “last chance” bring the world together to tackle climate change to protect communities and nature.
Natural England and Environment Agency states that “Climate change is causing damage to ecosystems, such as the droughts which are wrecking chalk streams and wetlands, while the degradation of the natural environment, such as deforestation and drainage of peatlands, is leading to the emissions causing climate change.” But what could you do to help fight the climate?
Even the smallest steps like making adjustments to your diet can play a huge role. Instead of going international and travelling through airplanes, opt for local holidays. Other actions include reducing private transportation, making your house energy efficient and voting for environmental change.
