67% Tourists Think Maldives is A Safer Destination

67% Tourists Think Maldives is A Safer Destination

A new survey of 1,100 qualified Chinese travelers in first tier cities by hospitality consulting group C9 Hotelworks and Delivering Asia Communications has revealed that 67% travelers believe that Maldives is a safer holiday destinations than other places during this time.

This survey focusing on travel sentiment to the Maldives has pinpointed some key changes forecasted in visitor behavior. Majority of travelers seek 4 star accommodation over 5 star and 3 star, and they prefer beach villas over hotel rooms and overwater villas. One of the shift dynamic shifts in the data saw 75% of respondents prefer independent travel over being part of a group.

On 4th June, a special one-hour web event will be held covering the Maldives tourism and hotel market. This web event will insight into the current situation that hotels are experiencing on the ground and provide a framework for looking forward at the journey towards recovery. The event will also present the results of the survey.
