SJ Commences Dharumavantha School Construction

On 1st June, SJ Constructions commenced the construction works of the new Dharumavantha School. The project is worth MVR 74.9 million and was assigned to the construction company in a selective bidding by the Ministry of Finance.

The school, located in front of Villa College, is designed to provide education to 1000 students, with 41 classrooms in which there will be 25 students maximum. There is a two storey library and rooms for extracurricular activities as well. According to the Minister of Education, Dharumavantha School will become the first model school in Maldives to offer holistic education.

The project was assigned to SJ Construction on 4th February, to be completed on April 2021. However, due to the difficulties faced from the COVID19 pandemic, the company informs that a completion date is hard to confirm.
