If one word explains it all, it must be ‘awesome’. Speaking to graduates of the first-ever 'Hin'gaalamaa' Leadership Development program initiated at the Sun Siyam Iru Fushi, we were not surprised to find out how effective the carefully designed program was.
Conducted by the Cluster Learning & Development Architect, Haanif Abdulla, the modules of the six-month program covered all aspects of building leadership skills, how to implement it at work, and develop oneself to become a great leader who takes his team forward.
Graduates across various departments at the resort emphasized on the self-awareness and realization of the importance of their jobs from the program, and felt very motivated to work towards achieving excellence. More importantly, simple factors that contribute to creating a pleasant work environment to get the best out of every team member was a key learning. Their new motive is ‘to keep the guest’, and inspire their teams to contribute accordingly.
This free initiative at the resort is a stepping stone towards ensuring that the whole resort team collectively work towards making an impact in the service provided to guests. Graduates were thankful to have been nominated for the program and are already looking forward to more in the series. The design and conduct of all the modules were on point too, according to the participants, and have had an impact in their mindset like never before.
23 graduates of the program were treated with an exclusive Graduation Ceremony hosted with special invitees from the sister island, Siyam World. The management congratulated all graduated and handed over Certificates of Completion, and encouraged them to uphold the positive change being witnessed in their outputs. The exciting event concluded with a ceremonial cake-cutting, followed by a group dinner hosted at Iru restaurant.
Haanif and graduates of the program are excited to have successfully wrapped up the first edition, and plans for more are underway. The Sun Siyam Iru Fushi is positively seeing the impact of the training in every department’s service and will work ‘to keep the guest’ coming back for excellence at the resort.
