Tourism Ministry, in partnership with Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC), held an event, the ‘Maldivian Investment and Connectivity’ to boost the number of arrivals from Northern Europe to the Maldives. This event was held on the 26th of March 2022.
It was attended by the Guesthouse Association of Maldives (GAM), Maldives Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC), Maldives Integrated Tourism Development Corporation (MITDC), FlyMe, and Trans Maldives Airways (TMA).
In addition to this, several high-ranking members from all parts of Serbia attended this event.
During his speech, the Tourism Minister of the Maldives Dr. Abdulla Mausoom, and his team played the song which was specially made for the 50th year of tourism in the Maldives before he went on to give details about several aspects of the tourism products in the Maldives.
In total, the headcount from Serbia to the Maldives says that 4712 tourists visited the Maldives in 2021. And as of the last released statistics of this year, which was in March, over 1200 Serbians have visited the Maldives.
