The Ministry of Tourism of Maldives welcomes all the nationalities across the globe to the island nation. After a lot of preparations and discussions within the industry, the Maldives announces that they will be opening its borders and this time, tourists will have easier access.

Guests are provided Visa on arrival with no additional requirements, providing easy access to our shores. Tourism Ministry further reveals that there will be no quarantine for tourists and no additional fees. Get ready to visit your favorite holiday destination in the Indian Ocean with better packages in July.

However, the Ministry assures that the country is reopening with the necessary precautions for the safety of both locals and tourists. It has been informed that check-in procedures at resorts will also change. Upon arrival, tourists shall be escorted directly to their rooms, where they will be given a detailed web-based check-in option to be completed in-room. Resorts have come up with their own safety protocols that follows the guidelines of relevant authorities.

A total 1,962 cases have been confirmed in the Maldives. The country has been successful is controlling the situation and the government has been praised for the measures taken. With an impressive recovery rate, there has been a total 1,121 recoveries, making active cases 831.
