Hard Rock Hotel Maldives Joins PINKTOBER for Breast Cancer Awareness

This October, Hard Rock Hotel Maldives is proudly participating in Hard Rock International’s PINKTOBER fundraising efforts in support of breast cancer awareness. Since its inception, Hard Rock has raised over $12 million for breast cancer research, with $1.3 million raised in 2023 alone. This year, they kick off PINKTOBER with a significant $100,000 donation to the American Cancer Society, funding advocacy, research, and patient support initiatives aimed at improving prevention and treatment opportunities for breast cancer patients.
In addition to the donation, Hard Rock Hotel Maldives and Hard Rock Cafe Maldives will host a variety of special events to bolster local fundraising and awareness efforts. A portion of the proceeds from these events will go to the Cancer Society of Maldives, enhancing breast cancer research and awareness initiatives in the region.
Community members and hotel guests are encouraged to participate in PINKTOBER activities. Upcoming events include the Pinktober Pink Fun Run on October 19 at 4:00 PM at the Marina at CROSSROADS, followed by a Pinktober Silent Auction at Hard Rock Cafe at 6:00 PM, featuring live music and entertainment.
Frederic Lebegue, General Manager at Hard Rock Hotel Maldives, expressed pride in being part of Hard Rock International’s 25th PINKTOBER anniversary. He hopes that the fun run and silent auction will inspire both locals and visitors to contribute to the vital cause of breast cancer research.
In addition to local events, Hard Rock International is collaborating with global partners to host a unique auction of rare and exclusive items from October 1 to November 22, 2024, on QTEGO. All proceeds will support the Hard Rock Heals Foundation, which focuses on breast cancer awareness and research worldwide. A highlight of this year’s auction includes a pair of autographed pink cleats donated by global soccer icon Lionel Messi, worn during a historic Inter Miami CF match. This is an incredible opportunity for fans and collectors to own a piece of Messi's legacy while supporting a crucial cause.
