Hideaway Beach Resort & Spa Partners With Parley Maldives for the Ocean Campaign

The luxurious island property, Hideaway Beach Resort & Spa has partnered with Parley Maldives for the Ocean this past June, with the aim to drive sustainable changes and promote the conservation of marine ecosystems across the Maldives. This campaign initiated by Parley Maldives – a top environmental organization - is also endorsed and supported by MATI and the Government of Maldives to collectively lead efforts to preserve the Maldives’ marine space.

As part of this collaboration, all stakeholders in the tourism industry will come together to implement various environmentally friendly initiatives that focus on achieving fixed targets such as reducing plastic pollution, protecting coral reefs, and conserving the pristine ocean environment. Some of the joint efforts featured in the campaign include beach clean-ups, educational programs, and the implementation of sustainable practices within resort operations.

As a property deeply rooted in eco-friendly practices, Hideaway has already phased out single-use plastics on the island. This partnership with Parley Maldives for the Ocean will further complement its sustainability commitments, by integrating Parley’s innovative solutions and expertise to the resort. Consequently, this would help to minimize the ecological footprint of Hideaway while providing guests with a memorable and responsible experience.

The private property has several initiatives already in place at the resort, from marine conservation talks to reef clean-up dives with in-house guests and team members. Moreover, as a resort famed for its sheer size and pristine beachscapes, the team and guests also contribute to beach clean-ups as well.
