Seasoned hospitality veteran, Patrick Duff has stepped in as the newly appointed Resort Manager of the timeless sanctuary, Vakkaru Maldives. Boasting a luminous career spanning almost four decades, Duff has amassed his hospitality experience working alongside some of the world's most esteemed and prestigious luxury hotel brands. Hence, his appointment to Vakkaru Maldives stands as evidence of the resort’s commitment to delivering unparalleled service and experiences to its valued guests.
Duff is a highly acclaimed hospitality professional with an excellent track record of international expertise and appointments. He has served various roles across 14 different countries with a distinguished portfolio of brands such as Starwood Luxury Collection, Fairmont, Four Seasons, The Ritz-Carlton, Shangri-La, Sukhothai Bangkok, and One & Only to name a few.
His most recent posting had been at Accor Resorts and Hotels in Phuket, Thailand where he fulfilled the position of Director of Operations (Task Force Re-brand). In addition to this, Duff’s illustrious résumé also includes other notable mentions such as Resident Manager (Consulting Task Force) at Shangri-La Yanuca Island, Fiji, Resort Manager at Iniala Beach House in Thailand, Director of Food & Beverage (EAM) at One & Only Reethi Rah in the Maldives as well as Director of F&B at W Taipei.
Taking over as Resort Manager of Vakkaru Maldives, Duff will be responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the property and maintaining close relationships with all departments such as Rooms, Food & Beverage, Spa and Recreation. Aided by his leadership qualities and in-depth understanding of luxury hospitality operations, he is expected to elevate the guest experiences on the property, marking a new chapter for Vakkaru Maldives.
