Holiday Inn Resort Kandooma Maldives in collaboration with Music in Paradise has revealed that ICEHOUSE, which is one of the most iconic and highly respected bands in Australia and internationally, will host a live concert in its own private island on 5-12 September 2026.
Granting its debut at the Maldives, ICEHOUSE will perform two small beach concerts at sunset to only 250 fans. The seven-day festival matches up a tropical isle getaway with memorable musical instances including an exclusive fan Q&A with rocker and imaginative director Iva Davies.
Led and spearheaded by Iva Davies, ICEHOUSE grew into the late 1970s and 1980s as one of the most recognisable Australian rock bands. They have 28 Platinum albums, eight top 10 albums, and over 30 top 40 singles that make their music to be intergenerational. Their iconic song, the Great Southern Land (1982) is an iconic part of Australian culture commonly considered an unofficial anthem of Australia and permanently recorded in the National Film and sound archives Sounds of Australia registry. The fans should look forward to listening to this and other all-time hits such as We Can Get Together, Can’t Help Myself, Hey Little Girl among others during the concerts.
The General Manager of the Holiday Inn Resort Kandooma Maldives, Mark Eletr was excited:
I recall that at the time the band was called Flowers in the late 70s. I was raised in Australia when listening to them, and in my case, the Great Southern Land is the unofficial anthem of Aussies, although my favourite must be Walls or Can’t Help Myself. Having the great songs performed live on our beach during sunset will be an experience never to be repeated in the life of our guests.
Gold experience package is currently being promoted at an introductory price of A$3,990 twin share (usually A5290 in the market). It will cover seven nights in a Beach View Villa (512 September 2026), two exclusive ICEHOUSE performances, a question and answer with Iva Davies, Music in Paradise welcome bag, special event poster and t-shirt, shared speedboat airport transfers, daily buffet breakfast at the Kandooma Cafe, two scuba dives a day of two (licensed divers only), and Music in Paradise Traveller Care Guarantee.
