Celebrated for its internationality and diversity, Le Meridién Maldives Resort & Spa brings an epicurean’s dream to life this November with an extensive list of culinary offerings littered across the month. Home to six restaurants and bars the resort is ready to entertain beyond the kitchens with gastronomical events lined up at the paradisiacal shores of the resort.

South Africa meets Maldives at South African Wine Dinner

The culinary calendar will begin with Kate de Fleuriot, Asia-Pacific Brand Ambassador of South African Wines who would be stopping at the resort to share with guests the exclusive wines from the rainbow nation. Gourmands can look forward to a 5-course degustation menu paired with enriched wines hailing from Kate’s homeland. The extravagant 5-course tasting menu is whipped up by Executive Sous Chef Siva and his team while Kate brings in the rich wineries with Mulderbosch, Springfield Estate, Mullineux, Testalonga and Southern Right Pinotage featured among the exquisite debuts. Hosted at the Velaa Bar + Grill, guests can indulge in refined wine tasting complemented by delectable pairings such as grilles seafood, vegetables and meat in an evening spent away among wine connoisseurs.


A Sparkling Company with Cattier Champagne

Deemed the benchmark of excellence in sparkling wine, Champagne is quintessential to an opulent vacation in the Maldives. Coming to this haven this November is Champagne Cattier Owner, Jean Jacques Cattier and Export Director, Pierre-Samuel Reyne, who will be delighting guests with a curated selection of Cattier champagnes on two evenings. On 22nd November, guests can catch the revered Maldivian sunset while sipping on high-class Cattier Champagne and eating canapés at the sunset Champagne picnic held in Bodu Finolhu, the secluded private island.

However, if guests are seeking a full course menu to be enjoyed with the champagne, they can join the Lobster & Champagne Fête in Velaa Bar + Grill the following day where a 4-course menu will satisfy the palates. Some of the finest Cattier Champagnes showcased at the evening will include the Brut Nature 1er Cru, Brut Icône or Clos du Moulin Brut 2012 varieties, giving guests a taste of the esteemed drinks.

In both events, Jean Jacques Cattier and Pierre-Samuel Reyne will join guests and share their stories and experiences in champagne with the inquisitive guests while savouring the good life with exquisite culinary soirées.

Thanksgiving in Paradise

The novel Thanksgiving dinner will be hosted on the 24th of November, wrapping the culinary calendar for the month. The perfect ending to the gastronomical experiences, the Thanksgiving dinner will allow guests to add a new layer to their culinary journey by absorbing the time-honored traditions of the occasion. The dinner will feature a traditional Thanksgiving American spread with a multitude of cuisine dishes to choose from. To be hosted in Turquoise, guests can enjoy the ocean breezes and endless blues of the Maldives while having a heartwarming dinner with loved ones.
