Maldives Voted as World’s Favorite Destination

At the Ultimate Luxury Travel Related Awards (ULTRA), One&Only Reethi Rah grabs the title for Best Hotel in Indian Ocean and Maldives was crowned the Favorite Country for a Holiday.

The ULTRAs recognize the best in luxury travel based on readers’ opinions of their favorite operators, airlines, hotels and destinations in the world of luxury travel.

There were total 21 awards: Best Airlines Business Class, Best First Class, Best Airline, Best Airport, Best Hotel in Europe, Best Hotel in the Americas, Best Hotel in Asia, Best Hotel in Australasia, Best Hotel in the Middle East, Best Hotel in Africa, Best Hotel in the Indian Ocean, Best Hotel in the World, Best Luxury Cruise Line, Best Golf Resort, Best Ski Resort, Hotel of the Year, Editors’ Choice Awards, Best Wellness Hotel Group, Luxury Hotel Group of the Year, Best New Luxury Hotel in the World and Favorite Country for Holiday.

As One&Only Reethi Rah wins Best Hotel in the Indian Ocean, the runners up were Anantara Kihavah Villas, Niyama Private Islands, North Island Seychelles and St Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort.
