The ultimate luxury resort, One&Only Reethi Rah has welcomed their new General Manager, Andreas Porias to the team. Andreas brings 20 years of experience in hospitality, with his career taking him to different esteemed properties around the world. He has filled prominent operational positions in both New York and UK alongside established hotels such as The Lanesborough Hotel, The Dorchester and The Gleneagles Hotel among the names.
Since 2019, Andreas have been working at One&Only Reethi Rah as their Resort Manager. During his time as Manager, he has contributed immensely to the property, paving way for distinguished accolades such as securing the Gold certification for 3 times in a row from EarthCheck. It was also during his leadership that the resort was recognized as the 5th World’s Best Hotel by Travel+Leisure’s World Best Awards 2022.
As General Manager, Andreas will lead the entire resort operations and strategic development while ensuring One&Only Reethi Rah is at the top of the game by curating unparalleled guest experiences and exotic culinary and wellness concepts. In doing so, the Resort hopes to defend its coveted title as an industry-leading destination in the Maldives.

Hailing from Vienna, Austria, Andreas is fluent in both German and English. He is a strong advocate for the environment and marine life and is a certified Scuba Instructor and Technical diver. He completed his undergraduate studies in Hospitality from Budapest Business School and went on to complete a Leadership Development program at Cranfield University. During his free time, Andreas enjoys skiing and is a wanderlust traveler as well.
