After a thorough remodel by New York-based designer Yuji Yamazaki, Naladhu Private Island in the Maldives has reopened its doors with a new look. During a six-month closure, the resort's public areas and all 20 Houses were renovated.
The resort's finest luxury, the Two Bedroom Beach Pool Residence, now features a 68-foot private beach as part of the upgrades. In addition, the island's restaurant, bar, wine cellar, and gym have all been renovated, and the new Coconut Grove provides a secluded place for exclusive events such as private yoga and fitness classes or movie screenings under the stars.
Each of the resort's two types of Houses has a living area of 3,230 square feet. The Beach House with Pool provides direct access to the white sands and lagoon, whereas the Ocean House with Pool and Private Beach Cabana features a wide terrace as well as a cabana where guests may relax on their giant day bed served by their butler, known as a Kuwaanu, who is on call 24 hours a day.
With its pool and big terrace facing the ocean, as well as loungers, an al fresco eating space, and a swing, the Two Bedroom Beach Pool Residence offers both sunrise and sunset views. Its new private beach, which also includes a beach cabana, provides direct lagoon access.
Guests design a daily menu and choose their favorite foods and places around the clock, making dining fully personalized. The Living Room, which has views of the lagoon, a Champagne floating breakfast in the pool, and midnight munchies on the beach are also popular eating options.
Providing guests with information about the Maldives' geography and ecosystem is a key concern. The resort has added new activities, such as a snorkeling path with Emilia Fulgido, an in-house marine scientist and sustainability manager, where guests can see some of the resort's 2,000 tropical fish and corals and learn more about the property's reef restoration initiative.
Guests can embark on guided island excursions or take part in a coral adoption program to learn more about coral planting, fish identification, and marine life, as well as micro-plastic recycling.
A new spa treatment facility has been added to the resort, which includes a double treatment room with a separate bathing and changing area. A naturopath and nutritional therapist are on staff, and guests can schedule a consultation to focus on diet to aid with stress, sleep, digestion, immunity, weight management, hormones, skin, and blood sugar balance.
RESET, a new health program, emphasizes the importance of the stomach in general health and well-being. Detoxifying treatments such as colon hydrotherapy, IV therapy, yoga, and core exercises are included in the five- or seven-night tailored program.
Book your stay at the fabulous Naladhu Maldives and enjoy the vacation of your dreams!
