No Aasandha in Hulhumale Hospital

From 1st January 2020, Aasandha will no longer be managing Hulhumale hospital. This decision was taken by the government.

Aasandha is the national healthcare insurance scheme of the Maldives which was developed to provide free medical assistance to all Maldivian citizens. By excluding Aasandha from one of the biggest hospitals in Hulhumale, citizens will find it extremely difficult to access medical services. The next alternative for them being Tree Top Hospital in Hulhumale, cost of medical services are raised to a terrible level.
