This festive season, Oaga Art Resort invites guests to enter a living comic book told through the eyes of Foo, the island’s spiritual curator and timeless soul. Foo is the resort’s invisible co-creator, weaving himself into art, cuisine, performances and stories creating space for wonder, curiosity and connection rather than taking centre stage.
For 2025–26, Foo shares the Maldives as he has felt and remembered it over centuries, presented in a vibrant animated aesthetic. From the women who feed islands to artists who recall how sound feels, the season celebrates individuality through tradition.
At the heart of the celebrations is a 100% Maldivian line-up of artists, curating soulful music and authentic rhythm. Guests can savour local flavours from a dedicated ‘Voyage Around Maldives’ cart, featuring dishes homemade by cooking talent from across the atolls. Cultural workshops in kasabu gethun, roanu veshun, thundu kunaa, fangi viyun and liyelaa jehun are curated in partnership with Kiyavahi, alongside surprise comic panels and flash performances. A botanical Christmas tree crafted from island vines and plants underscores sustainability. Artists-in-residence Jaime Brown and Karim Jabbari return for their third visit to host workshops and creative masterclasses.
Beyond the main highlights, Oaga launches the Samaasaa new show, “The First Coconuts”, a theatrical dining experience debuting in October 2025. In November, the Veyoge Gallery Villa Exhibition transforms villas into exclusive gallery spaces with original works from 15 local artists. Guests staying seven nights or more can enjoy complimentary dining at Sobi à la carte.
Nestled in North Malé Atoll, just 45 minutes by speedboat from Velana International Airport, Oaga Art Resort features 60 vibrant villas, unique cart-style dining and a spa inspired by Maldivian healing traditions an intimate creative hub for a festive season unlike any other.
