This spectacular beach resort perched on its own island in South Nilandhe Atoll of the Maldives is a tropical slice of haven for anyone seeking island adventure. Its local name translates to “Turtle Island” and to justify that, the surrounding turquoise blue lagoon, a thriving house reef, and countless world-class diving sites dotted in the vicinity are home to happy turtles and a myriad of other colorful marine life. Angsana Velavaru is truly an oceanholic’s dream come true.
Last month, the resort turned to the expertise of Ahmed Zahir as its Hotel Manager.
For the past 25 years, Ahmed Zahir has been looking over the Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts’ properties in the Maldives like a guardian angel. Since he joined Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru in the Maldives in 1995 as a Laundry Supervisor, he has worked his way up the ranks in different areas of operation, including housekeeping, front office, rooms division and as the Acting General Manager in his last position prior to being appointed as the Hotel Manager.
Zahir’s skills in operations and management are highly regarded by his colleagues. He is known to be a successful risk-taker, good with his quick analytic skills in tweaking operations modules to meet standards, meanwhile leading teams to success effortlessly. Many have excelled in their positions under his guidance and they look up to Zahir as a holistic hotelier, someone who can be trusted to manage his team and work at any cost.
In his time of service, Ahmed Zahir has had experience working with Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru and Banyan Tree Bangkok. He joined Angsana Velavaru in 2015 and has been contributing to its operations since.
Make your way to Angsana Velavaru, a place filled with eventful moments and mere bliss for a holiday experience you are bound to treasure forever.
