OZEN COLLECTION to Host Exclusive Bodegas Viñátigo Wine Masterclasses

Wine enthusiasts and aficionados are in for a treat this November as THE OZEN COLLECTION hosts a series of exceptional Bodegas Viñátigo Wine Masterclasses. From November 18th to 20th, OZEN LIFE MAADHOO will welcome guests, followed by OZEN RESERVE BOLIFUSHI from November 22nd to 24th.

These exclusive events are part of the luxury holiday plans offered by the resorts and will be led by Juan Mendez and his son, Jorge Mendez, the esteemed owners of Bodegas Viñátigo. The masterclasses will offer guests a rare opportunity to explore some of the world’s most unique wines, showcasing Tenerife’s distinctive autochthonous grapes from centuries-old ungrafted vines.

Guests will be guided by expert resort sommeliers who have firsthand experience with Tenerife’s vineyards. Attendees will learn to identify the unique characteristics of each wine, refine their palate, and discover perfect pairings to enhance their dining experience. The sessions will also highlight Bodegas Viñátigo’s commitment to sustainable winegrowing practices.

Nicolas Laguette, Director of Wines at Atmosphere Core, expressed enthusiasm for the events.

“We import all of our wines directly from wineries around the world. Over the past three years, we have focused on establishing an in-house ‘Wine Culture’ by partnering with family-owned wineries that are driven by terroir and embody our company ethos ‘Joy of Giving’ in their approach to winemaking. Through this initiative, we became the first to import and pour Canary Wine in the Maldives, sourced from Bodegas Viñátigo, an esteemed fifth-generation winemaker in Tenerife, Canary Islands. This November, we are delighted to welcome winery owner and president of the Canary Wine appellation, Mr. Juan Jesús, and his son Jorge for the third iteration of Bodegas Viñátigo Masterclasses at THE OZEN COLLECTION, turning our two luxury resorts into an epicurean’s Treasure Island of pure indulgence.”
