As the country is in a state of public health emergency and went into lockdown from 15th April, Maldives Ports Limited is introducing new policies for the ease of the businesses that rents its properties.
Maldives Ports Limited is the sole authority on port related businesses in the country which manages all the regional ports. Their ambition is to fast-track services to partners and businesses without compromising time and quality.
1. Restaurant/ café’ buildings
Since these businesses have been closed down during the public health emergency, the rent for these buildings for this period does not have to be paid
2. Store warehouses
While the rent for the months of May and June has been deducted by 30%, the period for making payment for April May and June without fine has been extended to 30th June.
3. Lorry parking fee
While the rent of lorry parking fee for the months of May and June has been deducted by 30%, the period for making payment for April May and June without fine has been extended to 30th June.
4. Fees
The time period to pay various fees that come under agreements without a fine for the months of April May and June, has been extended to 30th June.
