Stunning Maldivian Art in Dhaalu Rinbudhoo

Maldivian Artist Community (MAC), working together with the council of Dhaalu Rinbudhoo creates stunning street art in the island, showcasing local culture and lifestyle.

The purpose of this is to boost tourism, attracting cultural enthusiasts. The artworks include underwater sceneries, plants and outstanding works of the sun.

Maldivian Artist Community is an NGO formed in 2016 and is one of the biggest art platforms in the country. The group made a tweet revealing that their community is growing as years pass by. With 23 artists in 2016, the ‘Art Family’ has now grown to 55 members in group exhibitions.

Maldives is home to great artists but not enough importance is given to the field. This should be changed.
