Quest's World of Wonder is one of CNN International’s most popular shows that explores amazing destinations on the planet. This time, CNN Anchor and show host, Richard Quest will be showcasing the insider secrets of the paradisiacal island destination, the Maldives.

Quest and his crew were supported by Visit Maldives during his journey through the local islands as he ventured into the landmark locations, popular tourist resorts and met with influential figures from the Maldivian tourism industry. His episode on the destination is 30-minutes long and will especially shed light on the safety measures taken in the destination for travelers who choose to escape to the safe haven in the pandemic.

The episode begins in the premier resort of the Maldives, Kurumba Maldives, where it all began. It leads on to a chat with the industry founder, Mohamed Umar Maniku, and discusses half a century's worth of vision, challenges, and development that the nation has experienced since the inception of the economy-leading industry.

In a special appearance, Quest also talks with Speaker of the Parliament of the Maldives, Mohamed Nasheed who made headlines during his term as former President of the Maldives. He tirelessly contributed in the frontlines of environmental protection and awareness on the fragile ecosystem of the Maldives.
