Visit Maldives has kicked off a joint marketing campaign with ‘Let’s Go Tours’ for Swiss market to promote Maldives as one of the safest and most preferred destination to travel to for Swiss travel enthusiasts and travel trade. The campaign which began last month will run until June 2021 – which will include marketing activities on online and offline platforms.
Boasting over 26 years of experience and a loyal customer base, Let’s Go Tours is one of the leading and specialized upmarket tour operators for its destinations specializing in Africa, Arabia and the Indian Ocean.
In line with the strategies of Visit Maldives, the campaign with Let’s Go Tours is aimed at promoting Maldives in the Swiss market through ambient brand advertising, focus advertising and promotion of individual products and experiences.
The first activity under the campaign was held on 29th April by Let’s Go Tours; ‘Virtual Direct Customer Event’, which showcased Maldives to an audience of 150 to 200 people from the Swiss travel trade. Additionally, Maldives will be featured on monthly and exclusive newsletters reaching over 1900 travel trade contacts and 8500 private client contacts. Instagram and Facebook will be utilized to showcase the beauty of Maldives through posts with an outdoor advertisement planned for 6 months. The advertisement will be placed on public transportation in the city of Schaffhausen in Switzerland – anticipated to reach approximately 82,000 people.
At the end of April, Switzerland remains as one of the top 15 highest performing markets to the Maldives. Travelers from Switzerland can travel directly to the Maldives from Zurich – via Edelweiss airline. Switzerland continues to remain as a key focus market in the recovery of tourism in the Maldives.
